I also don’t see how you managed to jump from “I’d choose it given a free choice” to “it’s ok to coerce people into using these scanner”.

Why not try this idea,have two identicle planes both bound for the same destination,passengers could then choose which plane to fly on.One plane the passengers would go through a scanner and the other plane passengers wouldnt have to go through a scanner, let me tell you that i would choose the scanner route every time no matter how long i was delayed because if someone gets on the plane with explosives then you are going to be delayed for ever
