Yeah, his other excellent classic, The Stand…
I thought it might be like that. If I had the time or the patience, I’d read it. But…
“The Midwich Cuckoos” begins with a similar premise, but goes in an interesting direction. “Ghost Story” is also very good.
His other ‘non-supernatural’ stories are pretty good too – The Running Man, The Walk, etc. And of course, if you haven’t already read it, the novella that ‘Shawshank Redemption’ was based on.
Or you can start on his opus:
The Dark Tower series. 7 books which took him 20 odd years to write. I read and re-read them often.
