A few thoughts:
- New task menu is nice. Old versions of Windows tended to get a bit cramped down there.
- Google Chrome crashes a lot more than it did under Vista. A LOT more.
- In fact, the Google Mail Notification tool is fucked too.
- Mercifully, I no longer have to deal with near constant screen-fades-out-and-I-need-to-confirm-something boxes.
- My precious Team Fortress 2, and I’m pretty sure all games, refuse to run in full screen. I can’t fix this for the life of me.
These are really the only things I care about; things that really effect me. Not being a computer expert, I can’t go into huge detail about the pros and cons of Windows 7 v Windows Vista, but it was worth the £30 I paid for it as a student.
