Whether or not this is a good thing or a bad thing depends on your view of the EU, I suppose. I myself admit to not being as anti-EU as many of my libertarian comrades. I hold the same opinion of the EU as I do of our national government.
That this opinion is no less than utter despair and contempt is besides the point.
